About
Open Spaces
Ines A. Landmesser is a painter, graphic designer and illustrator based in Munich since 2017. The exploration of open spaces for the individual and integration into society are the prevailing themes of her work.
Her life in Abu Dhabi from 1989-2017 and the fast changes in today’s world are reflected in a unique mixture of different themes. Urban life and fast pace in day to day business resulted in the workgroup ‘Tomorrow is now’- a reflection on busy life and impact of movement towards individual ‘open spaces’. Having lived in different countries and seen the world in numerous travels she reflects life in her very own perspective.
Landmesser had training with famous artists like Prof. Markus Luepertz, Otmar Alt, Martha Astfalck-Vietz, Peter Keizer and Bernd Moelck-Tassel. As a member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society she was awarded a prize for her paintings in 2001. In 2005 the German Embassy nominated her to participate in the biennial international women’s art exhibition.. Her work includes oils, pastels and mixed media as well as painting on china and hand built Pottery , which she has been teaching for 7 years. For her oil paintings she has developed a special layering technique that adds depth to her paintings and creates a rich texture. She joined Camel Caravan, the Arabian Horse project and Red Bull Competition in Dubai. Her illustrations for children’s books are well known in the gulf region. She has been commissioned to create paintings for various corporate spaces by reputed companies and prestigious institutions, held several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. In 2018 she founded her OPEN STUDIO in Munich where she works and sells her paintings.
